We used a plywood barrier to protect the greens while starting the roundup application to fairways. Three men moved plywood from hole to hole through the day.

Also during the renovation, we will be working on the greens. Our plan is for a much needed aggressive core aerification procedure during the shut down.

The picture below is from the west tee practice green today. We used this green to fine tune our process before crunch time.

Our work during the renovation will go beyond fairways and the practice putting green.

Here we are preparing to renovate the weed-patch next the tees on 8. Our plan is to remove all the vegetation and place new sod in this area. The sod and look will be similar to the mound behind 13 green.

It requires, on average, ten man hours per bunkers to reclaim the damage from the storms in July. Hopefully, you avoid the bunkers entirely as you play. But if you should be so unfortunate as to land in a sand bunker. Please! Rake your footprints and enter/exit on the low side, never up a steep face.

All 72 bunkers look like this. The silt must be removed by hand. The sand returned to the face and then raked smooth. Gonna be a long week.
